An attempt to provide an honest and realistic picture of medical school and residency in Canada from the perspective of a young Muslim woman. As a (very) visible minority, you will no doubt find many experiences relate to gender, race, and religion, as well as my personal vulnerabilities and progress. This blog is, of course, my personal take and is therefore extremely biased; it is in no way meant to represent all medicine experiences. I hope you find it both enlightening and entertaining.

  1. Hey Mim, I made a comment but am unsure if it went though! I sympathise greatly with being around apparently intelligent people who never consider their purpose in life or where they are going after death. All the best with the rest of your time studying!
